MARSocial Author of the year competition is the greatest and first of its kind, social media event ever. From amongst the millions of authors on twitter, Lilian Robert's book excerpt from “Arielle Immortal Awakening” has made it through to the final stages of what has now become known as the X-Factor of the writing competition world. This particular competition also happens to be the biggest author/book/film competition every launched on the world-wide-web. It has been running for the past two months and during this time has already had over 200,000 different author’s book excerpt tweets shared with the twitter audience as well as other social media sites. One single book excerpt has been shared over the internet via, twitter and other social media sites over 11,000 times, substantiating the fact that news of this amazing competition has literally gone out to billions of people.
Authors representing countries as far flung as the USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France China, Russia as well as numerous others have made this a truly international event where age just isn’t a factor, for example the representative finalist from Wales is a seventy eight year old female. She has so far accumulated over three and a half thousand book excerpt tweets.
MARSocial in conjunction with Keeran Vaanie Creations International Film Producers have developed an Author of the Year competition that is run by authors for the benefit of all the authors who enter. Excerpts of the participants’ books are tweeted and re-tweeted throughout the competition. Lilian Roberts submitted an excerpt from her debut e-book novel, "Arielle Immortal Awakening" ‘The Immortal Rapture series.
On February 1st the winner of the Ephraim Prize will be announced and the world of social media will once again return to normal. The final stages of the competition are coming together as the finalists altruistically share their competitors’ excerpts to millions of social media followers around the world in their hope of claiming the prize. Along with being announced Author of the Year, the winner also stands the chance of having his or her book adapted into a film by Keeran Vaani Creations. Joseph Ephraim or “Cap’n Joe” as he is known is the founder of the competition and is quoted as saying, “Our aim is to give all our Marzian authors who enter this competition as much maximum exposure via the large social media networking sites as we possibly can.”

Today, I am so happy to spotlight on my blog a wonderful Young Adult Paranormal Romance writer

Amy Durham discovered her love of writing in the sixth grade. What began as a love of writing poetry soon turned into stories scribbled into school notebooks. In the eighth grade, her English teacher told her she was good at it and encouraged her to continue to put pen to paper. At that moment, the die was cast, and writing would forever be a part of her life.
As an adult, Amy focuses her efforts on writing Young Adult Fiction... adventure, romance, and life-lessons... woven together as imagination and escape for young readers. Amy holds a firm belief that books are not only entertaining, but have the ability to transform young lives. A book can educate. A book can teach compassion and kindness. A book can spark interest. A book can be a companion. Simply put, books can accompany and guide young readers as they try to navigate their way through the twisted, confusing roads of adolescence.
She lives in Kentucky, where she is a middle school teacher. She and her husband are raising three wild, intelligent, and creative boys, giving her plenty of fodder for the love and adventure she enjoys putting in her stories!

Amy provided one her favorite quotes about writing.

"Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart." ~William Wordsworth

To me, these words say so much about the heart and soul of a writer. Writing isn't easy. It's hard. It's tedious. It isn't a quick process. It can be a very lonely endeavor. But for those of us who write, it's a necessary part of who we are. It's done out of love and drive and the need to create.

I think about the stories I've written... some complete, some still waiting... and everyone of them is full of the "breathings of my heart". A girl who's forever felt plain and ordinary being seen as beautiful and extraordinary by a man who loves her... a dream thought lost resurrected once again... finding self-worth in your life's work... deep, aching wounds you thought would last forever finally being healed... and so on and so on and so on...

I think Wordsworth hit the nail on the head.

Her latest young adult paranormal romance is now on sale. It’s a story of forgiveness, grace, and second chances… something I think everyone can relate to… something that everyone should experience in a profound and life-changing way.

Zoe Gray lost her father... in more ways than one. Angry and bitter, Zoe spends the summer before her senior year of high school doing everything she can to forget, legal or not. But a close call triggers a reality check, and Zoe decides to put her life back together, a task that proves a lot harder than she thought.

Adrian Shaw shows up on the first day of school, creating quite a stir with his striking good looks and gleaming black motorcycle. But Adrian is much more than a "biker boy", and as Zoe discovers, he may just hold the key she needs to put her life back on the right path.

But as they do battle with evil forces that want nothing more than to destroy Zoe's chance at a normal life, will their feelings for one another make them stronger, or be the reason Zoe's happiness slips away forever?

And will Zoe learn to forgive before it's too late?
